Eric is a former standout athlete who earned All-Area honors in football and baseball at Sandburg High School. He played both pitcher and hitter for Northern Illinois University, where he set the school’s record for career home runs. His college career was cut short when he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. Over eight years with the Reds and Chicago White Sox organizations, he made three All-Star teams, three All-Defensive teams, led his teams in home runs five times, and won two League Championships. Eric is now co-owner of Future Stars Baseball Academy and co-founder of Chicago Elite Baseball, where he trains top athletes in the Chicagoland area.
Brian Forystek

Brian is a highly accomplished athlete who excelled in both baseball and soccer at Sandburg High School, earning USA Today All-American honors and being named Chicago Tribune Pitcher of the Year. He was drafted by the Florida Marlins but chose to attend Illinois State University, where he became a standout pitcher, ranking among the school’s top performers in strikeouts, innings pitched, and wins. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and pitched professionally for nine seasons, including two and a half seasons on the 40-man roster. Brian is the co-owner of Future Stars Baseball Academy and President of Chicago Elite Baseball, where he trains top athletes in the Chicagoland area.

Eric graduated from Providence Catholic High School in 2014, where he was a key part of the school’s first state championship baseball team. He went on to play at Concordia University Wisconsin, serving as team captain and becoming part of the winningest graduating class in the program’s history. After college, Eric helped establish a popular arm strength and conditioning program at Future Stars Baseball Academy. He also coaches for Chicago Elite Baseball, a top travel baseball program in Chicagoland, continuing to develop young talent in the region.
Jill Harvey

Jill is in her 16th year coaching with Sparks Softball, having led her teams to over 230 wins in just her first three years. Her teams captured two Chicago Metro ASA ‘A’ Championships, multiple tournament titles, and made three ASA ‘A’ National Championship appearances. With 12 years of experience as an ASA ‘A’ travel and NCAA player, Jill specializes in hitting, slapping/bunting, and fielding. Her nearly two decades of coaching expertise have made her a key figure in developing softball talent.
Amanda Santay

Amanda played varsity softball at H.L. Richards High School, earning over 50 wins as a pitcher and receiving All-Area and All-Conference honors in her junior and senior years. She was also named Sun-Times Player of the Week, Southtown Player of the Week, and Female Athlete of the Year. After high school, she traveled to Europe to compete against national teams and run clinics. Though she chose a music scholarship over college softball, Amanda began coaching in Chicago Ridge, teaching pitching techniques. Married for 15 years with eight children, she has coached in-house and part-time travel softball teams.
Scott Spoolstra

Scott was drafted by the New York Mets in the 46th round of the 1987 MLB Draft while attending Moraine Valley Community College. At the time, being selected by a Major League Baseball team was a significant accomplishment, especially coming from a community college. Scott’s performance and potential as a player caught the attention of professional scouts, leading to his selection by a major league organization. This marked the beginning of his journey into professional baseball, where he had the opportunity to develop his skills further within the Mets’ system, competing against top talent and gaining valuable experience at the next level.
Mark Gentile

Mark graduated from Carl Sandburg High School, where as a senior, he played on a team ranked number two in the country by USA Today. After high school, he signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a free agent and also spent time with the Chicago White Sox organization. While with the Diamondbacks, he was part of the starting rotation that won a Pioneer League Championship. Mark was selected twice to represent the Diamondbacks in the Arizona Winter Instructional League, a program for the organization’s top young talent. He worked one-on-one with renowned pitching coaches, including Tom House and former Cy Young winner Mark Davis.
Billy Quirke

Billy graduated from Providence Catholic High School and laid the groundwork for a successful collegiate baseball career. He attended Triton College, where he earned All-Region and All-Conference honors as a sophomore. After Triton, he transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, receiving Second Team All-Conference recognition in his junior year. His achievements at both schools showcased his skills and commitment to the game, establishing him as a key player throughout his collegiate career.
